The A-NRHA focuses on developing rental housing and manages the regional Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Over 65% of our patients are employed. Most are working in the service sector or in agriculture. We treat only those patients with no health insurance and no access to Medicaid, Medicare or other health care support.

Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.
