Ari Laoch (R-ee Lay-Awk), he/they is a Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and LPC-supervisor, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Ari received his Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (2017) and his PhD in Health-Related Sciences: Rehabilitation Leadership (2025) from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.
