Mental Health Hospital

Bridges is an unlocked psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF), offering programs for Virginia children and adolescents ages 6-17. Residential treatment programs are helpful for youth who have not responded to outpatient treatments, who have educational needs that cannot be met in a less restrictive setting, or who are in need of further intensive treatment following inpatient acute psychiatric care. For youth who have exhausted the less restrictive options in their community, Bridges is there to help.

The Village is located on 270 beautiful acres in Culpeper County, Virginia. The Village provides care for children whose emotional and behavioral issues prevent them from being successful in the community. Some of these children are receiving treatment to address past issues of abuse and neglect while others are receiving treatment focused on managing the emotional and behavioral issues associated with psychiatric and neuro-developmental disorders. While at Village, these children are empowered to overcome obstacles and move forward in their lives to be reintegrated back into nurturing homes. Contributing to the healing process, the setting offers a new bicycle for each child, hiking trails, fields, fishing ponds and streams, a swimming pool, go-carts, gymnasium, an equestrian center for horseback riding and an animal care center.

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare, located in Staunton, Va., provides trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment for young men. Our continuum of care is intended to meet the needs of adolescent males, ages 12 to 17, who are experiencing complex emotional, behavioral, and educational difficulties. Programs are specifically designed for youth with psychiatric disorders and co-occurring intellectual disabilities. We also specialize in working with young men who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Programs are offered at multiple levels of care to address the needs of each individual. Some youth may require a secure residential setting while others may benefit from a community-based residential treatment approach.
