Bon Secours has inpatient and outpatient programs for treatment of substance abuse and psychiatric medicine. The inpatient center is Maryview Behavioral Medicine Center, located on the campus of Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth. Chemical Dependency Consultation and Intervention Services This service is designed to recognize and treat chemical dependency in medical/surgical patients and to reduce the complications associated with chemical dependency. Service is provided by selectively trained members of Maryview's chemical dependency service, and includes medical, nursing and counseling services.

Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board is a leading provider in mental health, substance abuse, and developmental services. They are one of 40 community-based public providers of mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability services throughout Virginia. The Commonwealth has designated the 40 CSBs as the single point of entry into publicly funded behavioral health and developmental services. HRCSB is supported through local, state and federal funds. They provide an array of programs and support directly, and through partnerships with other providers.

The Free Clinic of Franklin County provides medical care to the uninsured of Franklin County. Our patients have incomes at or below 175% of the federal poverty guidelines. These are hard-working people who cannot afford the insurance offered by their employers.

Eastern Shore Rural Health is a Community Health Center Network committed to a healthy Eastern Shore. They provide medical, oral, and behavioral health care and support services to everyone in their community regardless of ability to pay. As primary health care providers, they serve patients and work with others to manage patients’ health needs in a safe, professional way that also respects the culture of every individual. Serving Virginia’s Eastern Shore with four medical centers, seven dental locations, and one urgent care center, they are the medical primary care provider of choice. In addition to primary medical and dental care, they offer behavioral health, pharmacy, and urgent care services as well as programs including health education, help obtaining prescriptions for those who can’t afford them on their own, digital x-ray, lab work, travel immunizations and more. Substance Abuse Treatment Center

ARE is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides innovative approaches to improve health disparities in our community. For almost thirty years ARE has offered individualized HIV support care services to those impacted by HIV. At AIDS Response Effort, Inc., their Ryan White Part B Case Management Services are dedicated to providing comprehensive support for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Operating for 40+ years, Southeastern Virginia Health System (SEVHS) is the premier community-based health care initiative in Hampton Roads for the insured, uninsured, and underinsured. The 501(c)3 operates twelve sites, providing primary care and dental services to individuals and families. SEVHS physicians are board-certified and provide services in the areas of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. With practices located in Newport News, Hampton, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Franklin, SEVHS also offers a number of other support services such as health education and nutrition counseling, case management, referrals to specialty care, medication assistance and on-site lab testing. Southeastern Virginia Health System is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VACHA). The Council of Community Services Drop-In Center provides access to information/education, resources and services in the prevention and care of HIV/STDs and Hepatitis C (HCV). The Rockbridge Area Free Clinic (RAFC) serves low-income, uninsured residents of the Rockbridge area (Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County) who cannot otherwise afford or obtain health care services. All RAFC patients have incomes below 150% of the federal poverty guideline with the majority actually below 100% of the poverty guideline. The vast majority of RAFC patients work or belong to working families. Of the people currently seeking RAFC services, 65% have one or more chronic disease such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and/or asthma that require ongoing medical treatment and medication therapy. These diseases, when left unmanaged, are very expensive to treat. In addition, according to the latest census figures there are an approximately 4,000 area low-income residents that could qualify for RAFC care.
